Where can art be shipped?
Standard shipping includes a location in the 48 contiguous states. Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or other international shipping locations are possible with individual shipping rates. Please contact us to discuss shipping rates.
How do you treat the wood prior to delivery?
We build our pieces to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. We do not paint or stain the wood, all we do is use boiled linseed oil to bring out the natural color. See examples below.
Does Linley Wood Arts provide a screw and wall anchor to hang art pieces?
While Linley Wood Arts does not provide a screw or wall anchor for hanging our art, each piece does come fully assembled with an eyehook ready to hang on your wall. Linley Wood Arts recommends you use the appropriate screw and/or anchors for the wall on which you are hanging your art.
Where can items be hung?
Suns, moons, and any wall hanging can be hung indoors or outdoors. In regions of over 100 degrees, such as Arizona in the summer, you'll want to hang them in a shaded area.
How do I care for my item?
As your item ages, you may notice the brilliance or color of the wood beginning to dull. You can re-oil your art with boiled linseed oil. Simply apply a small amount with a paper towel and then wipe off excess with a clean paper towel. If you add too much oil the wood will become tacky.
Items hung outdoors may need re-oiling every 1-2 years. Items hung indoors may last as long as 3 -5 between. Re-oil as you feel is needed.
